Department of Studio Art:
The Section of Studio Fine art offers both B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees with concentrations that range across a breadth of media. The Studio Art Faculty are engaged artists and educators who are recognized nationally and internationally for their intellectual and creative inquiry. Our programs enable students to fix to be an artist, begin a career in the arts, continue their studies in graduate schoolhouse, or to go leaders and educators.
College of Visual Arts and Design:

Position Summary
The College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) at the University of North Texas invites applications for two full-time, Visiting Assistant Professors (VAP) of Studio Art. The Section of Studio Art currently offers areas of study in cartoon and painting, ceramics, metalsmithing and jewelry, new media arts, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Applications are welcome from candidates with specializations in whatever of the above disciplines, that offer new approaches to studio art, or piece of work between multiple disciplines. 1-year contract (potentially renewable upwards to one additional yr). Salary commensurate with experience.
The higher's standard teaching load for Visiting Banana Professor positions is 6 (6) courses per academic year, negotiable based on specific duties. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring students, service to the college and university, maintaining an active research calendar and other types of professional evolution.
